Born and raised in Portugal, José Maria Campos, most often called Zé, is a Product and UX/UI Designer with a diverse academic and professional background. Zé initially studied Electrical Engineering for 2 years before deciding to switch to a Management/B.A. bachelor’s degree at Nova School of Business and Economics.
Right before he graduated, he started an internship in Marketing at Unilever where he developed marketing materials and did performance reports. A few months later, by chance, Zé found out about UX/UI Design and became fascinated by it. In 2023, he decided to go all-in, and has been a designer ever since.
As of now, Zé has designed for start-ups and multinational corporations alike. He has worked on conducting user research, analyzing data to extrapolate insights, creating extensive mock-ups, developing design systems, ensuring accessibility compliance, among many other things.
Zé’s passion is creating seamless and intuitive experiences that genuinely resonate with users, ensuring each design choice goes beyond just aesthetics. These are the core values by which Zé guides himself in designing:

Designing is a never ending process of learning. To successfully design a solution, the designer must always aim to broaden their perspective and address blind spots in their reasoning. The easiest and quickest way to achieve this is to understand other people’s points of view
